Fucking shut up about Benedict Cumberbatch and Star Trek Into Darkness (spoilers)
Can we just get the fuck over this “whitewashing” business? Khan is supposed to be GENETICALLY ALTERED and pieced together from tons of people from different ethnic groups - so the fact that he wasn’t brown should be a non-issue. Furthermore, the first Khan, Ricardo Moltoban was MEXICAN. And no-one fucking talks about that, because, you know, he’s brown-ish, so it’s supposedly ok? Lastly, race is a lie and physical stereotypes of a ‘race’ might have some grounding in reality, but do not mean that there couldn’t be a pale Sikh with “European” features. Also, did we all somehow forget that India was Britain’s colony for a few centuries? Are we somehow discounting the idea that some cross-ethnic dirty was done and maybe whoever Khan’s bio-parents were might have not been completely Sikh?
